Lara Shapiro has written and directed for episodic TV, including “The Americans” and “Royal Pains.” She has worked with networks and studios including Warner Bros., NBCUniversal, FX, USA, UCP, First Look Studios and Fox Television Studio, and she has also directed notable talent including Bono, Edward Norton, Matt Damon, Liev Schreiber, Kevin Hart, James Earl Jones, Lili Taylor, Marc Anthony and Don Cheadle. She teaches film and TV writing at the graduate film schools of Columbia University and New York University.
Shapiro has also directed and co-wrote the feature film that aired on ABC Family entitled “Labor Pains,” starring Cheryl Hines (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”), Chris Parnell (“30 Rock,” “SNL”), Luke Kirby (“Rectify”), Janeane Garofalo (“Cop Land”) and Lindsay Lohan (“Mean Girls”).
365体育备用网址Her short films have been screened at festivals and on TV worldwide, including the New York Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival, as well as on broadcast channels including Canal +, Channel 4, the Independent Film Channel and the Sundance Channel. Shapiro is also an established commercial director and has directed over 200 commercials with a cumulative budget in excess of $50 million. Commercial campaigns include Verizon, Prudential and L’Oreal.
