Sports Reporter, The New York Times
covers the business of the N.F.L. for the New York Times.
Unlike most sports writers, he spends less time in press boxes and locker rooms, and more time pouring over court documents, business filings and medical research, and speaking to lawyers, doctors and other experts interested in the conduct of the country’s biggest sports league. Prior to covering the N.F.L. fulltime, he wrote about the business of just about every other sport. He previously spent three years in the Metro Section, three years in BizDay and three years in the Tokyo Bureau of the New York Times. He lived in Japan for 12 years, where he also worked for Bloomberg, Reuters TV and Business Week.
