There, she litigated first amendment issues all the way to the United States Supreme Court, represented conscientious objectors in the first Gulf War and represented women in sexual harassment and gender discrimination cases against their employers. Since that time, Richard and the firm litigated large cases involving complex financing matters in courts across the country. She was regularly recognized as a top lawyer in business and securities litigation by Super Lawyers and was consistently rated by her peers at the highest level of professional excellence. In addition to her work as a lawyer, Richard served as Associate Justice in the Village of Saltaire, served on the village’s Board of Trustees and is currently the Deputy Mayor. For over 15 years, she has taught trial techniques at Cardozo Law School’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program and has lectured on trial strategy and legal issues in New York and London.
