365体育备用网址Anthony Titus is the founder of Anthony Titus Studio, an interdisciplinary practice that merges art and architecture. He received his undergraduate degree in architecture from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, and a graduate degree in fine art from the University of Chicago. He is currently an assistant professor of architecture at Rensselaer.
365体育备用网址He has exhibited his work widely, including two recent solo exhibitions titled ”Surface Mining,” Cornell University AAP (2014) and ”Marginal Tactics,” University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2014). His work has been included in high profile group exhibitions such as ”Vienna for Arts Sake!,” curated by Peter Noever (2013–16), and “Accrochage,” Friedman Benda (2015) and “Measure,” Storefront for Art + Architecture (2015). Most recently his work was included in the exhibition “5×5” at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champagne (2016) as well as a current solo exhibition titled “/BLU/ Migration” at Florida International University in Miami (2016).
Titus’s writings have been included in numerous publications, including an essay in ”Urban Hopes: Made in China by Steven Holl” as well as an afterword in ”The Great White Whale is Black, The Work of Tony Candido. Titus is also a recipient of a 2013 research grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts. The project is titled Twisted Siblings: Relationships Between Contemporary Painting and Digital Architecture, and it consists of a series of interviews with leading voices within the disciplines of art and architecture.
